Type of Service

The Student Health Centre provides a service for University of Limerick  registered students only. The Health Service:-

  • is an acute care/advisory service.
  • is not a GP service, therefore, all students are instructed to register with a local GP.
  • The centre provides a limited casualty service, but the Health Centre is not in a position to offer the services of a fully equipped/staffed A&E department.
  • a call-out service is available for emergencies on Campus only.
  • a full antenatal service is available for students and a postnatal service is available up to six weeks post delivery.

  • Physiotherapy
  • Wound Dressing
  • Sexually Transmitted Diseases
  • Skin Ailments
  • Well Woman Checks
  • Well Man Checks
  • Cryotherapy
  • Psychiatry
