The Student Health Centre provides a number of clinics to undergraduate and postgraudate students. Members of staff may present to the SHC in the event of emergency where there is a need for immediate and necessary treatment. There are no charges to students for any of our services. All of our services are accessed by coming to Administration at the Student Health Centre and they will discuss your needs with you and advise you. You may also telephone the SHC to make an appointment. Appointments are not available by email.
The service operates from 9.00a.m. to 5.00p.m. Monday to Friday. In the event that you need medical advice or treatment outside of these times there is an emergency /out-of-hours service available in the evenings and at weekends and bank holidays. You may contact the emergency on-call service by telephoning (061) 202534 or by telephoning any of the following numbers directly 085 8144500; 086 2222880 or 087 9173444.
We encourage all students to use this service rather than going to the Accident & Emergency departments of our local hospitals; which should be reserved for accidents and very serious and urgent medical problems.
You will find that the on-call doctor will see you sooner and the fees you will have to pay are less compared to A & E.
You can choose an appointment at any of the following clinics at the Student Health Centre.
