Dr Niall Cahill, Medical Director M.B., B.Ch.,MRCGP (London). Graduate of University College Dublin and member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, London. Dr Cahill has worked in Clinical Medicine in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and has practised in the U.K. and in the Middle East. He has been involved in Student Health since 1993. He has been Director of Student Health at the University of Limerick for the last number of years.
Areas of special clinical interest include minor surgical procedures, chronic disease management, sexual health, health service planning, research.
Dr Sheila Fitzgerald, M.B., B.Ch., BAO, DCH Graduate of University College Cork. Registered on the Irish Medical Council specialist register in the speciality of General Practice. Dr Fitzgerald has worked as a General Practitioner in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Dr Paula Gaire, M.B., B.Ch., MRCGP, D.Obst.,DCH Graduate of University College Galway and Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (U.K.) Dr Gaire has worked extensively in Clinical Medicine in Ireland, U.K. France and the Middle East. She is a General Practitioner who co-ordinates the Student Health Services Contraceptive Advice Clinics, Cervical Smear Clinics and Sexually Transmitted disease surveillance and treatment clinics.
Dr Marie O'Donovan, MBBS MICGP, Dch, Dip Derm is a Graduate of the Imperial College School of Medicine London. Dr O'Donovan is a fully qualified GP and is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners. Dr O'Donovan has worked in general practice, in hospital and in prison settings. She has been involved in Student Health since 2010
Dr.Susan Finnerty , MB, BCh, BAO, MRCPsych. is A Consultant Psychiatrist and a graduate of University College Galway .Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and fromerly consultant psychiatrist in the Clare Mental Health Services from 1995-2004.Currently Dr.Finnerty is Assistant Inspector of Mental Health Services with the Irish Mental Health Commission.
