Teach Fáilte (House of Welcome), as its name suggests, is a centre of welcome and hospitality. Located beside the bookshop, within the hub of student life, it is open from 09h00 - 17h00 daily during term time. Students are welcome to call in as individuals or groups for a friendly chat and a cuppa or just to 'chill out'. Others are accompanied in times of difficulty such as bereavement, loneliness, illness, financial concerns, exam or assignment stress, or having a 'bad day'. Some are facilitated and encouraged to access other professional services on campus.
Teach Fáilte has hosted a number of events such as Coffee Mornings supporting Fair Trade, the Hospice; International student gatherings; refreshments following various services in the Contempative Centre; S.U. Christmas party.
