Student Academic Administration (SAA) maintains registrations for research students. Once the student has been approved and enrolled by the Postgraduate Admissions, SAA will register the student.
Students who take modules on the Structured PhD programme must complete the Research Module Registration Form available on the Graduate School Website. Please ensure that this form is also approved and stamped by your department administrator before submitting it to SAA.
Once registered, each student is assigned events to monitor the students' record.
These events would include the following:

Students and Supervisors must complete a PGR9 once per year. It must be jointly completed and signed off by the Supervisor, student and Head of Department., and returned to SAA.
Ø Extending end dates (PGR8 Form)
An extension of the period within which the thesis can be presented may be obtained by application to the Vice President Research on the recommendation of the supervisor. Requests for extensions (PGR-8 form) must be submitted before the period on the higher degrees register has expired.
