It is a requirement for the University for certain programmes that students will be required to undergo a Garda Vetting process. This requirements is due to the external placement element of the programme which will bring the student into a position of trust and may involved unsupervised access to students and/or vulnerable adults.
The following programmes have a garda vetting requirement:
Details on the Garda Vetting process are circulated to students prior to first year enrolment and all students must sign a declaration of understanding that their registration on the programme is provisional pending clearance of the Garda Vetting process.
Offers of places on these programmes will be provisional pending the outcome from the Garda Vetting process.
