Pictured is Catherine Muigai Mwangi, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to Ireland who visited the University of Limerick in March and met with UL President, Professor Don Barry. The Ambassador also met with UL's International Education office as well as taking a tour of the campus.
Ms. Catherine Muigai Mwangi was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kenya to Ireland in 2007. Ambassador Mwangi is the first resident Ambassador to Ireland. Prior to this, she had 25 years' experience working for various locally and internationally recognized organizations, providing high level professional services in the following areas: Strategic Management, Marketing, including Public Relations, Communications, Brand Formulation and Development, Product Development, Operations, Strategic Planning. She possess a wide network of contacts amongst a range of international government officials, international media and the international corporate world, resulting from frequent work in Africa, Europe and the United States of America.
