New Sport Facilities at UL unveiled at President's Dinner

Key business leaders in the mid-west region came out in support of the eighth annual UL President's Gala Dinner, which was held in Dromoland Castle on Friday, May 13th.  Organised by the University of Limerick Foundation, the theme of the dinner supported Limerick as "European City of Sport 2011" and was centred around the inclusive nature of sport.

Still Smiling at Mile 9 !

Marathon runner Justin McDermott waves to the camera as he crosses the Living Bridge on the UL Campus at mile 9 of the Great Limerick Run which took place last Sunday 1st May.  Over 800 marathon runners took part in the race which wound its way through the UL campus.

As part of the European City of Sport programme for 2011, the Irish Arts Centre in New York has generously teamed up with Shannon Development and the University of Limerick to secure this unique exhibition of Irish boxing memorabilia for Limerick City.
