University of Limerick Rowing Club (ULRC) were put to the test recently at the Irish National Rowing Championships, Inniscara, Co. Cork bringing home wins in the Men's Inter 8+, 4+ and Women's Senior 8+.

The Irish Youth Choir (IYC) this year undertook its annual summer programme of rehearsals and concerts at its new home in University of Limerick from June 26th to July 4th.

 

Major Research Funding of over €12million Secured by University of Limerick

The University of Limerick has welcomed today's announcement by An Taoiseach Brian Cowen TD, and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation, Batt O'Keeffe TD, of over €12million in research funding for a major new research centre at UL as well as significant support for advanced UL research programmes under the Programme for Research in Third Level Institutions (PRTLI) Cycle V.

 

€11 million building contract signed for Industrial Enterprise Centre at UL

Contracts were signed today for the construction of a new €11 million building on the University of Limerick campus. The new building will house the University's new Industrial Enterprise Centre (IEC)

 

UL Spin-Out, HKPB Launches Biotechnology Plant

UL spin-out, HKPB Scientific recently announced the launch of its new biotechnology plant in Nenagh, Co Tipperary. HKPB Scientific, a biotechnology and innovation company will be starting commercial production of medical technologies with the potential to dramatically reduce surgical costs for patients and hospitals.
