UL Academic is Inaugural Scientific Director of the NBIPI

At the inaugural National Biophotonics and Imaging Platform Ireland (NBIPI) Conference which took place at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin recently, Dr Martin Leahy, Department of Physics, UL was announced by Dr Jimmy Devins, Minister of State for Science and Innovation, as the organisation's inaugural Scientific Director.

 

UL -only Irish University to benefit from €5million EU/Asia Educational Mobility Project

The University of Limerick is set to benefit from a €5million European Research and Educational Collaboration with Asia (EURECA) project, which will see research scholars from some of Asia's most prestigious third level institutions coming to research at European Universities.  UL is the only Irish third level institution partner in this collaboration, which aims to establish a Eurasian academic mobility Network, for achieving excellence in research and education in a global context.

Professor Orla MUldoon, Head of UL's new Department of Pyschology delivered her inaugural lecture entitled "Seeing the Woods and the Trees:  A social psychological analysis of adaptation and adversity" in UL recently.
