UL Bohemian
Rugby has been strong in Limerick, Ireland, from the foundation of the sport, with Garryowen and Young Munster among the oldest senior clubs in Ireland. UL Bohemian RFC joined the senior ranks in the early 1920s, to be followed a generation later by Shannon and Old Crescent. Students can attend All Ireland League, European Cup, Celtic League and international fixtures during their stay in Limerick. Further detail about UL Bohemian can be found at www.ulbohs.com

Rugby in Limerick
The strength of Limerick rugby can be gauged from the fact that the three First Division clubs in the city have been in the top 5 of the All Ireland League in recent seasons. Visiting teams come to Limerick with foreboding and in particular to Thomond Park, the formidable home of Munster (http://www.munsterrugby.ie/), and also of Shannon and UL Bohemian RFCs.

In spite of Munster drawing many of their stars for the European Rugby Cup and Celtic League competitions, the Limerick clubs are thriving and games between them remain extremely competitive. Participants in the UL Rugby & Study Abroad Program will have opportunities to experience much of this activity for themselves and to attend Limerick is definitely one of the premier destinations in the world for any young man or woman wishing to develop as a player.
