Step Two - Access your University of Limerick Email Account

Three methods exist for accessing your University of Limerick Email Account.  The method you use depends on factors.  Each method is explained below and why you would use one method as opposed to another.

Method One:  Accessing your UL Email using a Web Browser (webmail)

Use this method when you are accessing your UL Email from home using a Broadband Connection - How?

Method Two:  Accessing your UL Email using Outlook Express

Using Outlook Express means that you can prepare your messages while offline (not connected to the Internet and therefore not paying charges), go online for a short period to send and receive messages and then go offline again - How? 

Access Email from Outside the University using Outlook Express (IMAP & POP)

Access Email from Outside the University using Windows Live Mail (IE7 & Vista) (IMAP & POP)

Method Three: Accessing your UL Email using Outlook (Staff Only)

Using Outlook will give you exactly the same view of UL Emails as you see when using a supplied University computer from inside the University.  Using Outlook means that you can prepare your messages while offline (not connected to the Internet and therefore not paying charges), go online for a short period to send and receive message and then go offline again - How?
