Within ITD managed student PC clusters, ITD employs Computer Laboratory Attendants that are able to help with general problems that students have in using PCs.
The menu on the left will provide you with help in the operation of the ITD PCs. Microsoft Guides are available under the Frequently Asked Questions menu on the left.
Problems that relate to specific software packages that are being taught should be referred to the Teaching Assistant or Lecturer for that module.
Support is available to UL students who wish to network their Personal Laptops for use on campus. Help is available every weekday between 14h30 and 15h30 (during Academic term) at the Laptop Desk Connection Area in the Library. Please note that support is only available to connect your laptop to the network. All other issues should be referred back to where the laptop was purchased. Please ensure that you have completed the Registration Form - Access to Internet from Public Access Points before attending the clinic.
Support is also available for corrupt USB Memory Keys every weekday (during Academic term) between 14h30 and 15h30 in the student PC Area in Library.
Students experiencing any computer problems can email ITSS@ul.ie with a brief description of the problem and include their name, student ID, date of birth, postal address and personal email address.
