ITD provides a range of computing services for staff of the University based on the Microsoft Windows platform running on a PC supplied by one of the University's approved suppliers. Staff may access a range of applications programs, email, the Internet and printers through this PC.
PCs are configured to have what is known as the 'standard staff build' and this changes over time as Microsoft releases new versions of their operating systems.
PCs are interconnected to the University to gain access to both internal and external resources. All computers must have anti-virus, anti-malware etc protection and the latest Operating System Security patches.
