What are the forwarding options?


Contact the Service.Desk@ul.ie if you are having problems following the information below.

To forward calls when the phone is busy/not answered 

  • dial *44444# on the telephone handset.
  • To cancel this setting dial #44

To forward all calls to voicemail (the phone will not ring)

  • dial *41444#.
  • To cancel this setting dial #41

To forward all calls to another extension when the phone is busy/not answered

  • dial *44[insert number]#.
  • To cancel this setting dial #44 This is for internal UL numbers

If you want to forward to an external number when the phone is busy/not answered

  • dial *440[insert number]#
  • To cancel dial #44  [N.B. You should be aware when using this and the following option that your extension will get the bill for the forwarding not the caller]

And if you want to forward all calls straight to an external number then dial

  • *410[insert number]#
  • To cancel dial #41

I want to forward a voicemail message to someone else's phone.

  • Save or delete the message - do not hang up
  • Press 9
  • When prompted record your message. Press *# when finished.
  • Enter extension number, press #
  • Confirm with #
  • Send with #
