The Faculty of Science and Engineering is a vibrant faculty supporting over 3500 students having some 40 academic degree programmes in Science, Engineering, Informatics and Electronics. The Faculty comprises ten academic departments with associated centres and units in addition to three world-class research institutes. Faculty activities are supported by 250 faculty and staff.
Three Faculty Learning Support Centres in Science, Mathematics and ICT offer one-to-one support to students, with drop-in centres and supervised study areas. Access to personal tuition and additional learning resourses are open to all our students.
The National Centre for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching and Learning is also part of the Faculty and provides assistance to both teachers and pupils.
The Faculty has extensive research capailities that combines academic excellence and application in meeting industrial and social needs. It offers taught and research postgraduate programmes at Graduate Diploma and Masters Deree level having over 500 researchers currently pursuing a PhD qualification.
