Catherine Adley has been elected to the Council of the Royal Dublin Society.
The Council is the governing body of the Society. Its role is to uphold the Foundation objectives of the Society and monitor progress on achieving these. It provides leadership and strategic direction and oversees management of the Society's activities and resources.
Members of the Council are appointed by the Council to serve on one of its three Standing committees which include: Agriculture; Science and Its Industrial Applications; General Purpose of the Society.
Catherine Adley has been appointed by the Council to its Science and Its Industrial Applications standing committee and will liaise with the Committee of Science & Technology, where she has served for two elected terms 2004-06 and 2007-09.
