Profile:
Jonathan Lavelle is a Research Scholar at the Department of Personnel and Employment Relations, Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick. He completed his B.A. (Public Administration) in 2003, M.B.S. in Human Resource Management in 2004, and his PhD in 2009. He is a former IRCHSS Post-doctoral fellow and IRCHSS Government of Ireland Scholar and has previously held the University of Limerick Alumni Scholarship and the Kemmy Business School Registrar's Scholarship.

His main research interests are employment relations in multinational companies, with a particular interest in trade union recognition and avoidance and employee representative issues. He is currently involved in a number of international collaborative research projects, including the 'Survey of Human Resource (HR) Practices in Multinational Companies in Ireland' and 'Multinational corporations, sub-national governance and human resources'. Jonathan has presented papers at a number of leading international conferences and has published articles in the Human Relations, Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management Journal, Journal of World Business and Irish Journal of Management, as well as co-authoring a book.
