Lecturer in Physiotherapy/HRB Fellow
Karen is a Physiotherapy graduate of University College Dublin, and also holds an MSc in Manipulative Therapy from Coventry University. She is an experienced musculoskeletal clinician and educator. Her research interests lie in the areas of shoulder dysfunction, outcome measures, ultrasound imaging, and manual therapy teaching. In 2011 she was awarded a Research Fellowship by the Health Research Board to undertake PhD studies in the area of rotator cuff tendinopathy.
Karen co-ordinates a Community of Practice for physiotherapists working with people with shoulder pain, and runs a website to support and disseminate evidence based practice in the physiotherapy management of shoulder pain at www.shouldercommunity.com .
